K&n stock replacement or intake Cone ROUND ONE FIGHT!`

Any one have definitive proof that a intake cone is a better solution or can the k&n flow just as well>?

well the answer is simple - is your motor stock? if all you have is a chip, then the factory airbox isn't going to be a restriction.

Unless you're running a stroker that needs significantly more air, stick to the stock 'box with a K&N filter.

So...about those K&Ns....the local PRO3 guys say the K&N loses horsepower compared to the stock panel filter OR a cone filter. One guy here tested them all on the dyno, but I don't know who it was.

Either way, the guys who race with M20s say the stock setup makes the best power, so I am content to use them.

Bingo. For the negligible gains seen, why would you risk gumming up your AFM with filter oil and likely allow more particles into your engine? Stock = best.
